I love the feel of a woman's skin. I think it all started when as a child I would kiss my mother's soft, velvety cheek good night. Find me a man with a woman's skin and I might become heterosexual. No, on second thought, I wouldn't. ~Amy Birdsong
While many minority groups are the target for prejudice... and discrimination... in our society, few persons face this hostility without the support and acceptance of their family as do many gay, lesbian, and bisexual youth. ~Virginia Uribe and Karen Harbeck

Lesbian Couple’s 4 Year-Old Daughter rejected form School
Posted by

9:49 PM

Olivia Harrison is just like every 4-year-old girl at this time of year. Getting excited to start pre-school, getting her school supplies and ready to learn with new friends that she would make. The only difference between her and her classmates is she has two mommies who happen to be a married Lesbian couple. Now little Olivia can not go to the school she was told all summer she would be attending.
In June, Jill Harrison filled out an application for her daughter to attend St. Vincent's School a private Christian school in Bedford, Texas. They had researched schools that would give her good academics and would teach basic Christian beliefs. On the application Jill wrote in her name as the girl's mother, and then crossed out the father, wrote mother and listed Tracy, her wife’s name.
St. Vincent's School chaplain Randall Foster said the school's officials assumed that Tracy was a man. But after the women attended a parent’s night Aug. 17, schools officials called a meeting with Jill to say that the child could not enroll because their relationship is against the traditional beliefs of the Anglican Church.
"The canons of our church take a traditional stand on Christian marriage," Foster stated. "We didn't want to send the tacit message that we endorse the relationship. We cannot do anything that would give legitimacy to same-sex relationships."
Tracy Harrison responded by saying, "What we do when we come home and shut the door should not affect our daughter getting an education, we want it to be fair."
"The only responsible thing was to say this is not a good fit," Foster said. "We were trying to protect Olivia, protect the other children from being exposed to the culture wars and stand up for our theological position."
The school was informed by Jill that the couple was divorcing and that both parents would participate in their daughter's schooling, not mentioning it was a same-sex relationship before the pair showed up at parent’s night.
"I've never been explicit. It's never been a problem. It's never been an issue. If it comes up in conversation, I'll answer, but I don't feel it is my job to tell people about my personal life," Jill said. "Had I known, in hindsight, I would never have attempted to enroll her in a school where they did not believe in our beliefs and our lifestyle."
St. Vincent's School states on a sign outside stating it's Episcopal, though the clergy left that Church in 2007 and is now affiliated with the Anglican Church in North America. The church was among several that left the Episcopal Church over issues including the ordination of women and support for same-sex unions.
The Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth has contacted the family members to offer pastoral support and invited them to a Hurst, Texas, parish where they will be welcome, spokeswoman Katie Sherrod said. The diocese issued a news release to clarify its relationship with the school, noting that their schools have nondiscriminatory admission policies.
"I have been in touch with Jill Harrison to apologize for the ordeal she, Tracy and Olivia have endured and for the fact that the word Episcopal was associated with this ordeal in any way," spokeswoman Katie Sherrod said.
"I felt like we needed to reach out to them," Sherrod said. "That's hard to tell a 4-year-old child that you can't go to school there because you have two mommies. You don't do this to a child. I just am at a loss to justify that decision or to even understand it."
The Southwestern Association of Episcopal Schools, who accredited St. Vincent's has asked for them to remove website references to its accreditation, and the school has agreed to do so.
Jill and Tracy Harrison, married in Canada in 2006, continue to use the same last name although they are separated. They have two children, Olivia and Spencer, who is 2. The Harrison’s have found a new, nonreligious school for their daughter.
LGBT Center Investigated for Corruption

International News: LGBT community space the Castro Centre has been evicted and had its locks changed following an investigation into wide-ranging financial irregularities.
According to Scotland's Evening Times, the group was evicted earlier this month following a financial report that was passed to city auditors. Allegations include "non-payment of tax and national insurance for staff, despite deductions made from wages, the employment of a relative [...], and operating with no public or employee liability insurance."
A posted notice reads, "To whom it may concern, please note the locks at these premises have been changed by City Property Glasgow (Investments) LLP." A city council spokesperson elaborated, "There is no lease in place between Glasgow City Council and the Castro. We are therefore right to take possession of the building." The city council pulled the Castro Centre's £50,000 (US$77,517) budget, and manager Ruth Black has since been suspended by the Labour Party.
Castro Centre was run by Black alongside partner Jeanie McDougall, who managed the Castro Centre's café bar, Noise. In addition to the financial allegations, Black is being investigated for possibly supplying drugs to former councilman Steven Purcell, who chaired the committee that approved Castro's budget. McDougall has also identified herself as a former enforcer for deceased stepbrother Stewart Boyd, a notorious figure in Scottish crime, the Glasgow Herald reported.
Black's return to the LGBT organization was fraught with controversy. Various rights groups protested Castro's bid for the venue after the prior organization filed bankruptcy with debts over £300,000 in 2009. Black, who was a manager of the prior center, left before its closing, only to return with the bid from her organization, Castro. Glasgow Pride director Ross Stevenson told PinkNews.co.uk last year, "I am against Ruth Black running the centre as I feel that she did have a role to play in the downfall."
Castro's website contains a statement of hope despite the eviction, however: "We want you to know that we are not closing down. Please pay no attention to media stories."
Drake and Nicki Minaj Got Married?

Guess everybody is jumping on that "got married" band wagon. It all started with Carmelo Anthony and LaLa, after that it seems like the whole industry done went and jumped the broom.
Did Drake and Nicki Minaj get married?
While the details are sketchy right now about whether or not Drake and Nicki Minaj’s wedding went down, there is some potential proof on Twitter!
Drake and Nicki each posted tweets that point to the couple getting hitched.
Drake, a former DeGrassi: The Next Generation star and now mega rap star, tweeted: “Please refer to @nickiminaj as Mrs. Aubrey Drake Graham and dont stare at her too long. She’s finally mine. ”
Nicki Minaj countered with this tweet: “Yes, its true. Drake and I tied the knot,” after asking him “U scurred? @drakkardnoir u ready to make the announcement or wha?”
Drake tweeted, “Baby I am never scared. PROUD is more the word I would use.”
Drake rapped about Nicki in his song “Miss Me,” with the lyric: “I love Nicki Minaj, I told her, I’d admit it; I hope one day we get married, just to say we f–king did it; And girl I’m f–king serious, I’m with it if you with it.” I guess she was with it.
This just might be a publicity stunt, especially after Nicki Minaj said that she wanted to push her album back due to her not having enough fans. Well if this won't get you more fans than I don't know will.
Obviously, time will tell if there’s any truth to the Drake and Nicki Minaj wedding rumors – do you think they were just joking with fans or did they really tie the knot?

Drake Writes A Letter To Aaliyah "Babygirl"

Can't help but give respect to Drake for doing his thing on the music charts, which a lot of people question if he's a singer or rapper. Look, I say whatever he considers himself to be I respect it. Numbers don't lie and he's obviously making his mark in the hiphop culture.
As we remember (Aaliyah) a beautiful talented angel today, for leaving us 9yrs ago, Drake takes this time to write a letter.
The letter, given to Rap Radar, claims that Drake was her biggest fan and that he was “truly in love” with the late singer.
Dear Dana,I’ve never lost a parent, a friend, or a lover but I will never forget this day for the rest of my life. I remember getting the news that you had passed and it connected with my heart like a clean shot from Muhammad Ali. I was crushed. Not only was I one of your biggest fans but I was truly in love with you. I loved the way you carried yourself, the way you dressed, the confidence with which you addressed passion and relationships in your music. I said to myself that even if we never met, I wanted a woman in my life just like you. I am pained that we will never get to connect now that music ended up being my career path. But you should know, we all listen to you everyday and we remain inspired and moved by all that you’ve given the world. I hope I make the right life choices so I can end up in heaven where I know you rest your head. I’ll continue to make music in your honor until the day we finally meet. Dinner’s on me!
Love you always and forever,
Drake
How cute...but why is he addressing Aaliyah by her middle name Dana?
Here's what Missy had to say... Missy Elliott: “Aaliyah Would Still Be At The Top”
It’s hard to believe that nine years have gone by since Aaliyah and eight others were killed in a plane crash.
Her close friend and collaborator Missy Elliott recently answered some questions from MTV about the anniversary of Aaliyah’s death and her influence on today’s female R&B singers.
MTV: When you look around today at some of the current R&B stars, who do you see traces of Aaliyah’s influence in?
Missy Elliott: I think it’s hard for Aaliyah to be duplicated, because she had her own lane. But Ciara is an R&B singer who loves to dance, and Aaliyah was that same kinda artist. We knew when she dropped a record, we couldn’t wait for the video. I think Aaliyah has influenced artists like a Ciara.
MTV: How do you spend a day like this, where everyone is mourning the anniversary of your friend’s passing?
Elliott: I plan to spend my day the same as any other day, because there’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think of [Aaliyah] or watch a video or play her music. I miss her every day.
MTV: What memory do you revisit most when you think about Aaliyah?
Elliott: We’ve had so many memorable times. My most memorable is when me, her and Tim wore outfits alike! It was burgundy Pony outfits to the awards. Mind you, Aaliyah was petite so her Pony outfit looked so cute on her, but I kept looking at mine during the awards whispering to her saying, “I feel like a big-ass pony for real!” And we laughed and laughed! Too many memories to state them all! If she was still with us, she would still be at the top. Because she always stayed pushing herself to be better.
Samatha Ronson Says "Fuck Religion"

Is Sam evil? or is she just not into religion. Lohan's father Michael Lohan has been very outspoken in his disapproval of Lohan's lesbian relationship with Ronson and, Lohan wrote him via e-mail "Samantha is not evil, I care for her very much and she's a wonderful girl....She loves me, as I do her." l question is Sam evil? or is she just not into religion.
Samantha Ronson spins at a weekly party called 'Take em to church Sundays' (flier above) and when a misguided fan berated her for "more religion crammed down our throats," she set him straight.
"@rickmidgette religion??? Fuck religion. My religion is music, homie," she tweeted.
Samantha is Lindsay Lohan's ex-girlfriend and has visited her in jail and rehab. Just before Lindsay went to jail, she lashed out at Joan Rivers for calling Samantha "skanky" and confusing her with a "skinny boy."

NFL Season Officially Started I just thought I'd post some ESPN News. Being a person who's in love with sports especially NFL and NBA it's only right that I give my viewers some sports entertainment as well. Sadly that my first post have to be my dude Chad getting fined. OH WELL!!! hahaha.
The NFL fined Ochocinco $25,000 for two violations -- possessing an electronic device and posting messages on Twitter -- during the Cincinnati Bengals' preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Aug. 20.
NFL players are not permitted to post messages on social media websites starting 90 minutes before kickoff and until postgame media obligations are fulfilled.
Ochocinco posted two messages -- one at 6:50 p.m. ET and another at 9:53 p.m. ET. The game kicked off at 8:07 p.m. ET.
His tweet at 9:53 p.m. was regarding a hit he absorbed in the game.
"Man Im sick of getting hit like that , its the damn preseason [expletive]! 1day I'm gone jump up and start throwing hay makers , #Tylenolplease," he wrote.
Ochocinco commented on the fine and apologized to the NFL on Tuesday -- through Twitter, of course.
"I've been fined by the league a substantial amount of money for tweeting, 1st time twitter hasn't made me money but cost me money," he wrote.
In his apology he said he "won't do it again."

Faith was the first female artist to signed to Diddy's Bad Boy Entertainment label in 1994, on which she released three platinum-certified studio albums between the years of 1995 and 2001.
Bad Boys first lady is widely known as the widow of New York rapper Christopher "The Notorious B.I.G." Wallace, whom she married on August 4, 1994, three weeks after meeting at a Bad Boy photoshoot. The couple had one child together, Christopher Wallace, Jr.
This is not the first time Faith has had a run in with the law. In January 2004, Evans and husband Russaw were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and cocaine and an improper tag violation during a traffic stop in Hapeville, a suburb in Atlanta, Georgia. The couple agreed to spend 13 weeks in a drug-treatment program in exchange for halting any further prosecution in their drug-possession case. On August 21 2010, Faith Evans was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving, according to the Los Angeles Times. Evans was taken into police custody at 10:40 p.m. at a checkpoint near Marina del Rey, Los Angeles Police Department's Officer Cleon Joseph told the Times. The Associated Press reports Evans' car was impounded and she was released on bail the following morning.
Via Twitter she vented to say "I'm sure by now most of you heard that I was detained on suspicion of a DUI. After completing a full day of wardrobe prep I was stopped at a random checkpoint," Faith's tweet assured that she was doing well following the encounter with the police. "I'm fine and well, and thank you for your prayers, kind words and concerns. I can't wait for you all to see my new video & look forward to hearing from u guys...Fizzy"
Faith's sixth album, Something About Faith, is due in October.
All I have to say is Shame on you Ms. Faith, what examples are you actually setting for your kids? Please comment and tell me what you think, if she should recieve punishable time.

Everyone can relate to this poem. We all had that one individual who had us emotionally gone. I tend to let my emotions get the best of me and I hate it. I'm currently learning how to control my emotions and not break down at every hurtful moment.
I'd take you all ways
always
I'd never nag
again
nor complain
again
about your ways
I'd take you
all ways
always
if you were to return to me
Never find fault
never find flaw
I'd take you as you were
as you are
and never again
want for more
All ways
always
If one more chance was given
to prove my acceptance of you
I'd take you
All Ways
Always
As it should be
As it should have been

Is the world ready for another R. Kelly album??? HELLLL YEAHHHH....We need that classic timeless song, and R&B album right now and who's better to provide that but the "greatest" himself.

Singer Monica was spotted out with her new boyfriend, Shannon Brown. Rumors had been circulating that she stole Lakers guard Shannon Brown from another woman. In fact he’s not married. Nor was he in a relationship with anyone when he met Monica.
The two are taking things slow to let their relationship evolve. Shannon reportedly supports Monica in all over her personal and business endeavors and has made it very clear that she is in charge of her own life. He currently is playing for the Los Angeles Lakers. Monica sure knows how to pick a winner.
If they continue to stay together, we will likely see Monica courtside along with all of the other celebrities at Laker games next year.
Brown who became Monica’s love interest in her recent video for “Love All Over Me”,had to go to twitter to defend her after some people said that she was homewrecker seeing that he was supposedly still dating Sharde, the mother of his 1 year old son. Brown made a mistake by sleeping with a Laker groupie and impregnating her. But now he’s taking responsibility for his youthful indiscretions. Brown is paying his child support and he is involved in the child’s life.
He said: I write this to set the record straight. Media deception makes unfair and false reports of the truth, and it does not bring out the best in ANYONE. Monica is my girlfriend, confidant and a strong successful women that has been though a lot herself but she is in no way, a home wrecker. As a parent, I understand that parenting requires a partnership with my sons mother however the relationship between us fizzled a long time ago. Thus, never leading up to seven years, engagement or even talks of marriage. As parents, we have to continue to raise our son, and as individuals we both deserve happiness.” Thank you for the support and God Bless! -SB

There was a time
when i could only see
me...
through your eyes...
Yours.
Then came the day
you went away
and i couldn't see me
anymore...
Yours.
Now time has passed
I have found me
I was wrong all along
I didn't need your eyes to see...
Me.
Other love has come and gone
and I have walked away
untouched, unmoved, deadened
my heart just couldn't see past ...
Me.
And now I wonder,
as my heart freezes cold,
was seeing me through your eyes
better than an eternity alone?
Yours...

Fantasia Finally Explains Her Suicide Attempt

The suicide attempt happened following reports of Fantasia Barrino’s involvement with a married man, after his wife filed for divorce.
Fantasia Barrino met Antwaun Cook at the cell phone store where he worked. According to Fantasia Barrino’s people, she was unaware that he was still married and believed that he loved her. Reportedly, Cook told her that he had separated from his wife, Paula.
I never will understand why someone would want to take their own life. She has to understand that we're living in a world where people are going to stress you out and do you wrong. Using that as an excuse to want to end your life is weak. Life is stressful alone, that's life. You roll with the punches and deal with it. Dealing with people's bullshit shouldn't be the reason why you no longer want to exist, I feel it's just unacceptable. She's better off letting go of all the bullshit and continue to do what she do best and that's make music, and live life to the fullest.
Especially being so young and have lots of living to do. It's a shame that she would want to take her life due to her dealing with fucked up people.
Here's what Ms. I'm gonna take my own life has to say...
“I didn't have any fight in me. I didn't care about anything. I just wanted out. At that moment, I wanted out. I wanted it to be over with – all of it, all of that shit. I just sat in the closet and looked at the mirror and took all the pills in the bottle. I wanted to go to sleep and just be at peace. I knew exactly what I was doing. You can't accidentally take a whole bottle of pills.I was tired of people doing me wrong, constantly, over and over again, dealing with my family – my father, dealing with men and their shit – I was tired. My head was hurting me. I was over it.” —via People
Let's Talk About it:

Of all the uncomfortable feelings that happen after a breakup, some of the most devastating are the feelings of being unlovable, unworthy and rejectable. You lose so much pride that it's hard to think of any way to gain it back short of re-gaining their heart and love back, and of being worthy of being in a relationship with 'them' once again.
You'd do just about anything to restore your ego, pride and feelings of self-esteem.
And all you end up doing is losing more pride by acting in undesirable and desperate ways. You plead, you beg, you stalk, you cry, you threaten, and you dream incessantly about ways of getting back in their good and loving graces.
The loss of pride after a breakup causes us to try to convince our partners that they are 'wrong', and that our way is 'right'. We try logical reasoning, pouting, coercing, blaming, begging, pleading, demanding, being sad, being angry - any way we can to get them to see our way. But rarely do we stop and see things their way. Our pride gets in the way of letting us do that.
It's amazing how many people in a breakup believe it is the loss of their mate that causes them the grief, when in reality it is the loss of their ego and pride (which was somehow destroyed by the rejection) that hurts them the most ... and it is that very loss of ego and pride that is now causing them to feel a desperate (yet deceiving) need to regain their ex-boyfriend's or ex-girlfriend's love and approval.
Once you realize this, you can take steps to understand how this loss of pride and ego has caused you grief, and how the more you try in a desperate, needy manner to win your ex back the more you will be even more worthy of their rejection and the more you will lose your dignity, pride, and ego.

LGBT Must Read Books:

The closer a secret is kept, the more powerful the impact once it is finally revealed. Such is the case with author and activist J.L. King's intriguing look at the lives and lifestyles of black men who sleep with other men but do not consider themselves to be gay. These men live "on the down low," the "DL" for short, and their sexual activities have gained significant notice as the rate of HIV/AIDS infection in black women has skyrocketed, with the vast majority of cases coming from heterosexual sex. King is a veteran of the DL himself and his book serves partly as a social and psychological survey of the other men he has surveyed and partly as highly candid memoir. King was well regarded in his community, popular at his church, successful in his career, and married to a woman who had no idea that his secret life existed. But when she caught him in a lie and with another man, the marriage collapsed and King's long and painful path to self-awareness began. King cites the negative image many socially conservative black men have of homosexuality as an obstacle to those men being honest with their partners and themselves about who they are. Among the more intriguing elements of On the Down Low are the peculiar approaches men on the DL have to the sexual act, seeking a strictly physical sexual relationship with their secret male partners while remaining in more traditional arrangements with women. Whether this discrepancy is a product of scrupulously guarded secrecy and shame or the natural preference of an understudied sexual identity is one of the numerous questions raised by this book. Though the infection statistics make the DL a huge public health issue, King is neither a sociologist nor a medical professional. And while a more clinical look at this issue would be welcome, King accomplished what he set out to do: provide light and insight into a world that so many have worked so hard to keep in the shadows.

ABC released a statement regarding the performance, “The World Goes ‘Round” takes its name from a tune the songwriting team wrote for Liza Minnelli to sing in the film “New York, New York.” This revue follows in the great tradition of ABC’s annual benefit for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS in New York City. Each evening will feature another ABC daytime actor not performing who will serve as host. The host will welcome the audience, take questions and offer exclusive storyline previews for future episodes of “All My Children,” “General Hospital” and “One Life to Live!” Hosts for each performance will be announced at a later date.
FIERCE...

I can't express it enough how much the LGBT youth community is important. When you talk about the future and where this world will end up, it's in our youth hands. Without any guidance there's no future for our youth. Being part of their lives is such a big deal and I just wish and hope (that's all I can do) that we all take them by the hand and just let them know that we care and they're not alone. After researching on the LGBT youth of color, I came across FIERCE which is a membership-based organization building the leadership and power of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) youth of color in New York City. We develop politically conscious leaders who are invested in improving ourselves and our communities through youth-led campaigns, leadership development programs, and cultural expression through arts and media. FIERCE is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of social justice movement leaders who are dedicated to ending all forms of oppression.
FIERCE (Fabulous Independent Educated Radicals for Community Empowerment) was founded in 2000 by group of primarily LGBTQ youth of color. FIERCE was founded on the principle that LGBTQ youth must realize and manifest our own social and political power to change our conditions, to shape our futures, and to become effective agents of change in our communities. While many organizations provide opportunities for LGBTQ youth to access services, none serve as a city-wide avenue for LGBTQ youth to direct our own social change agendas. FIERCE continues to serve as one of the nation’s few whose mission is to engage LGBTQ youth of color in community organizing.

Was Lindsay Misdiagnosed?

Looks like that whole doctor-patient confidentiality thing doesn't apply when your name is Lindsay Lohan. Suspiciously upbeat sources who are "familiar" with the treatment the rehabbing starlet is receiving at UCLA Medical Center maintain to TMZ that she's not nearly as much of a mess as everyone has been led to believe.
According to TMZ, the docs now believe that Lindsay is neither an addict nor bipolar.
The doctors at UCLA now feel that Lohan should be sprung early, spending no more than 30 days at the treatment center. They've also recommended follow-up outpatient care, which she'll likely undergo in between giving million-dollar interviews.
Okay, with that being said....wait....I have to laugh at this stupid bullshit that I've just heard on the news. This my people is what you would call BULLSHIT. They would say anything to clear this poor lost girls name by any means necessary. I don't believe this crap at all. When someone drinks and drive as much as Lilo has, that's a fucking problem.
I'm play it safe and not touch the race card on this one. I'm tired of everyone want to cover up these "white" stars fuck ups. It is what it is she has a problem and clearly needs help. Now I want to know who paid this damn doc to say this fuckery.
Look I'm sorry my wonderful people but I'm going to stop while I still have my sanity and patience.
Let's Talk About It: Using The "Wife" Word Loosely

When you first meet someone that you think might be the one to steal your heart forever, you are full of conflicting emotions. Since the emotions connected with love and lust are equally strong in the beginning, it can be hard to sort through them and put them in their proper place. But by concentrating on these emotions, and being honest with yourself, you can tell if what you are feeling is love, or lust.
Depending on how fast the dating progresses you may want to talk to your 'potential' partner about future plans 'together' - anywhere from two months to six months into the relationship. Some relationships move more rapidly, but you shouldn't try to push it too fast or find yourself at the 'love-and-devotion' part within just one month - even if you do feel they are perfect in nearly every way.
Know that even if your in a relationship for anywhere up to 2yrs, that you shouldn't be giving that "wife" title too soon. This seems to be going on mainly in the LGBT relationships. Personally, I believe that the title "wife" serves a purpose and should be thought about past the 2yr mark. You're still learning that person. Yes, Married couples are learning each other everyday, but they put in time and worked hard to deserve that title and not in the 2yr period.
It sickens me to hear someone say "my wife" when the relationship is still new. Love will surely make you say and do things that you wouldn't normally say and do, and calling your partner "my wife" is absurd. What I really want Lesbians to stop doing is to quit using that word to loosely. It's not cute and when shit hits the fan and the relationship is done, than what?
It's not cute at all. Live with that person for more than 2 maybe 3 yrs before you start that "wife" shit. That person may not be who you thought she was. I'm speaking from experience.

BOBBY VALENTINO: New Single, New Album, Photos

The FLY ON THE WALL album impacts national retailers on OCTOBER 12Th.
Bobby V captured my attention with his music and finesse. Like other artist I actually look forward in purchasing his album. I pretty sure I won't be disappointed, he seems to have never made me feel like it was a mistake that I spent my hard earned money on such mediocre of an album. Although....
The first track from FLY ON THE WALL is called PHONE NUMBER. Though I honestly feel the track is semi-okay at best, Bobby pretty much sticks to the same conventional formula that introduced him to the world back with his first birth project in 2000 and 2001. His lyrics are nothing of amazing and can be forgotten, especially with the beat not making it any better. What??? I'm a critic and this is what I do. I'm only being honest and giving my opinion.
Welcome back young man, you've been missed.
Federal Housing Protections for Transgender Tenants

The Obama administration has tossed the gay and transgender communities a few more crumbs. First, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Shaun Donovan announced earlier this month that the agency would pursue cases of housing discrimination against LGBT tenants. Now there's news that HUD is expanding its interpretation of federal housing policy to include protections for gender identity.
Although the Fair Housing Act was passed in 1968 as part of the Civil Rights Act to prevent housing discrimination based on race, religion, and national origin, in its current form the law doesn't explicitly extend to sexual orientation and gender identity.
It's welcome news. Studies by New York-based Queers for Economic Justice have shown that the vast majority of queer and transgender folks who could benefit from HUD's increasingly privatized housing are of color and, because of rampant job discrimination, have incomes that fall well below national averages.
Another recent study by the National Center for Transgender Equality and the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force also found that housing bias is an endemic problem in the queer community. An astounding 19 percent of transgender respondents reported homelessness due to discrimination because of their gender identity.
"Ending discrimination in housing is absolutely vital. Everyone deserves to have a safe home where they do not have to worry about eviction or harassment simply because of their gender identity," Mara Keisling, executive director of the National Center for Transgender Equality told reporters.
Back in October, HUD announced a series of initiatives aimed at addressing such discrimination. The new steps included requiring all applicants for HUD grants to comply with state and local non-discrimination laws, and developing new regulations that included queer families in the agency's programs.
The new guidelines also mandate that HUD staffers inform tenants of their rights and, in states with explicit protections, jointly investigate any bias complaints with local law enforcement. Currently, 13 states and the District of Columbia include sexual orientation in non-discrimination laws.
The bad news is that it's still legal in 38 states to discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity. And the federal legislation that could fix that problem remains stalled in Congress, with little real White House support for its movement.
One step at a time, I'll take that...We're getting there my LGBT family

Today, August 4, 2010, we celebrate the birthday of the FIRST Black President to serve the United States.
As Barack Obama flies to Chicago to have a private dinner with his friends and family, Michelle is traveling to spain with their youngest daughter, Sasha. The eldest daughter, Malia is still spending the remainder of her summer at camp with friends.
Must be very bothering that he won't be celebrating his birthday with the wife and kids. Although there's no time for celebrating when things still have to be done.
With that said, HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA!!!

Damn I know I'm a few days late with this hot topic going around the world wide web. I was just not interested until now, that every one's still talking about the embarrassment that she's caused her very talented father. And it's a crying shame to have to deal with such disgust. She's suppose to be his babygirl, and this is what she gets herself into. It's a damn shame that our African American people have to act in such manner that is just so ignorant. What the hell happened to our people that we must show shame to ourselves and loved ones. I'm pretty sure the slut doesn't care at all. I don't know too much about her and the first story that hit the net, and I don't think that I even want to know the whole damn shameful story. The porn star probably did it for fame and attention. But what kind of attention is that to put on yourself. Shit, if she's in desperate need for some attention, do something positive for the community or something in that nature. Negative attention I sure sells quicker than some positive. Still, she's a daughter of a great actor who deserves a lifetime achievement award if not already has one. What the hell was she thinking? Selfishness will get you nowhere but shame and embarrassment for sure. Let me make myself clear, I'm not knocking anyone who choose to do what they have to do in order to survive, this is not the case here. Montana is wealthy, and at the same time bored with her life. Do something good for attention next time you want to film yourself doing porn. Anyway.........
So the plot thickens......
There's a new story emerging regarding Laurence Fishburne's 19 year old daughter, Montana, who is now using the name "Chippy D" for her porn career.
Website CarltonJordon.com is alleging that Montana is being pimped out by her boyfriend, Jeremy Greene aka "J-Pipes".
Green is seen in the initial introduction video for Montana, along with porn star Brian Pumper. In that video, Jeremy is introduced as a new porn actor coming onto the scene along with Montana. The two confirm they are a "porn couple".
CarltonJordon also confirms that it is Jeremy Greene that will star alongside Montana in her much talked porn debut with Vivid Entertainment, not Brian Pumper as previously suggested.
However, Brian is beating Vivid to the punch by putting Montana in his own porn flick titled, “Phattys Rhymes and Dimes 14″ that Brian is shipping out two weeks ahead of the Vivid release! Vivid has responded by moving up their release date from August 18 to August 10 in an effort to beat Brian's release.
Now, Back to Jeremy Greene. As the story goes, he has been Montana's boyfriend since she was 16 and has had her working as a prostitute for a while now. Reportedly he is manipulating the young starlet wanna be into this porn career and it may not have been her idea after all.
Share your thoughts on this shameful subject
Decision Expected Today in Prop 8 Case

A decision is expected late this afternoon in the federal Prop 8 case, Perry v. Schwarzenegger. The group behind the landmark marriage case, the American Foundation for Equal Rights announced that it will make the decision available to anyone interested as soon as it’s announced. Here’s how you can get the information according to AFER:
Text “EQUAL” to 69866 to get a text message with the official decision on your mobile phone the moment the court releases its decision, or sign-up for an email alert at equalrightsfoundation.org. Join AFER on its Web site to watch a live press conference with our plaintiffs and co-counsels Ted Olson and David Boies following the release of the decision. As we receive news about the details of the release, AFER will update our Facebook and Twitter profiles, along with our Web site.
The American Foundation for Equal Rights brought together Olson and David Boies, who notably faced-off in Bush v. Gore, to demonstrate that Prop. 8 violates Americans’ U.S. constitutional rights by creating separate classes of people with different laws for each, in conflict with the nation’s founding principles, including equal protection under the law. Prop. 8 unconstitutionally stripped away the right of same-sex couples to marry in California .
“For Kris and I, this case for us is about how we, as Americans, just want to be treated equally by our government,” said plaintiff Sandy Stier, who with Kris Perry comprise one of the couples who are plaintiffs in the case. Stier spoke at the courthouse immediately before going inside this morning. “All we’re asking the court to do is make sure we’re protected under our Constitution like everyone is supposed to be,” said plaintiff Jeff Zarrillo before entering the courthouse with Sandy, Kris and Paul Katami. “This trial clearly demonstrated Proposition 8’s denial of equal protection under the law,” said Chad Griffin , Board President of the American Foundation for Equal Rights. “No law may violate the U.S. Constitution. Our nation’s Founders established the courts to protect every American’s constitutional rights against discriminatory laws. This case is not about special rights for Kris, Sandy, Paul and Jeff. Rather, it’s about ensuring they simply have the same rights as every American.”

This slogan is already out there circulating around the world, I'm just trying to bring it to life. Actually, I saw a tattoo that this Ag has that said Don't judge me based on ur ignorance on her leg and I was really taken by it. Again I'm just bring this great quote to life, in support and love of my LGBTQ family.
After have numerous conversations with people, noticing that their are a lot of individuals who are clueless and closed-minded. After informing them that not all gays and lesbians didn't turn this way due to a broken heart or it's the latest fad so I'm going to be gay/lesbian today. This is who we are from birth. We cover up who we actually are due to people judging and having to deal with hate crimes, neglect and so on.
Someone said to me "well I hope my son doesn't turn out gay, cuz I'll disown him. I can't stomach the thought of my son being poked in the ass". Stupid ass people like that is why a lot of gay youths hide who they really are and suffer mentally because of it. I had to let that person know, not every gay male you see is getting poked in the behind. I personally know a few who thinks that's disgusting and will never receive or give it. Most of gay men find it more pleasurable to receive and give oral sex rather than penetration. And why do women feel the need to use dildo's when having sex with other women, they might as well sleep with a man. NO!!! the feeling alone is different. Most women who choose to let their partner use a dildo is because it's the woman's touch and caress that they prefer rather than a hairy sweaty man. Plus we (lesbians) don't have to worry about getting pregnant. Women last longer than men when it comes to sex. That 2 minutes and I'm done don't do anything for a woman. Again, no one can turn a person gay/lesbian if that's not who they are. It has to be in you and sometimes need the right person to bring it out.
With women, society has this fucked up way of making seem okay for two women to engage in sexual acts and find it entertaining. My thing is who the fuck gives society the right to toy with our (lesbians) sexuality? I really would like to know. My lifestyle is not a game nor a joke. This is who I am and I love being me. I'm not for exploiting my sexuality all over the world, that's used for entertaining men. It's okay for two women to kiss but it's wrong for two men to kiss. WTF is wrong with that picture? Same sex is same sex point blank period.
Now I'm open to have conversations with straight people who obviously are curious to know why do women and men love being with other women and men. Simple answer, we just do. For me there's nothing like being held and touching someone who's soft and delicate. I've been this way since young and wouldn't change me for the world.
Damn all that it's a sin and going to hell crap. Let's not forget that there's 10 commandments that are also sins that people commit every single day. But they don't want to go into that though. *shakes head*
"Da Lyfe" t-shirts are coming real soon...plz stand by to get urs. The magazine is also in the making and that will also be coming out soon. It'll be called "Da Lyfe". Thanx for all the support. I do this for us.

During Nicki’s ustream session earlier, it was said the album title name is "Pink Friday" on November 23. All pink everything is how she's feeling. I kinda like the title. Something about it has thinking of numerous things that I rather not mention to the public hahaha.
With her banging, super successful mixtapes I only hope that "Pink Friday" will be just as good. Her head nodding mixtapes introduced her to the world as this lyrical barbie and it's the perfect gimmick. So with the actual album approaching I'm sure it will get just as much hype as her "trillion" mixtapes that circulating out there.
Congrats to the Young Money artist on "Pink Friday" due in stores and itunes November 23.

Sleeping with your ex...is it cool or not??? I want to say that sleeping with your ex can be a bit confusing and not cool at all. When such boundaries are crossed it may complicate things more. You're playing with fire when the thought crosses your mind and you actually act on it. I suggest that if your not completely over them than don't cross that path. It will only bring unresolvable feelings and that's going to damage you more, especially if the other party is already dating other people. It's not fair to put yourself through such pain.
Feelings just don't go away in a day or two. I completely understand if you still have love or even still be in love with them, it's not right and definitely not fair to your hurting heart. What happens when you’re having sex with an ex you’re still in-love with, and they has moved on to seeing someone else? Feelings are destroyed. That love quickly turns into anger.
If anybody knows that it's a bad idea it's me. I slept with my ex numerous times, even after knowing that she was laying up with another chick. Don't really know what I was thinking but at the moment it felt right. Later on I knew it was the biggest mistake I've made in all my years of being in a relationship. A part of me still wanted to work things out, but guess what? it didn't happen. Now I'm left feeling salty and for a minute I was going through a mini session of depression.
If you choose to sleep with your ex not knowing if they are sleeping with other people please protect yourself. There's alot of diseases going around, so you would want to play it safe and at least protect yourself if your not going to protect your heart.
How many of you have slept with an ex and felt as if it was the biggest mistake???

Chris Brown is making a come back and I can't wait. I've been a fan since his very first banging album, which I still play heavy.
Apart from having a movie premiering at the end of this month, which he did an impressive 96% of his stunts himself, Breezy has revealed via Twitter that a new studio album will be out next year “or sooner!” Peep what Breezy told his loyal followers below:
My new album will come next year or sooner but in the meantime i might ” I MIGHT” do something special for yall again!!!
Before posting this, Brown asked his fans if they would like a sequel to his last mixtape that would be titled “In My Zone 2.” But whatever he decides to do, it’s clear that he’s getting ready to take his spot back on the charts and we can’t wait for some new Chris Brown music!

She was nominated in categories for Best Pop Video, Best Female Video, Best Dance Video among many more. She'll be sure to bring the crazy to the awards on Sept. 12.
"I'm so honored for all the little monsters and self-professed freaks of the universe," Lady Gaga said. "A long time ago, the world told me and my little monsters we would never be heard. Together we changed the rules. God put me on Earth for three reasons: to make loud music, gay videos and cause a damn raucous. Thank you, MTV!"
Truthfully, I'm so not a fan of Lady Gaga for unknown reasons, maybe it's her crazy uncalled for different looks that doesn't move me at all. After the other day seeing her without makeup I see why she dresses up in costume on camera. Trust me it wasn't a pleasant sight at all. She looks like a rat with a sloppy body. I'm so serious, someone showed me pics and I wish that they would of let me keep them, cause I definitely would of shared with the rest of world.
It's no surprising that she bagged 13 nominations, her music sell all over the fucking world. Sold out shows everywhere. I just don't get it. This paid ugly rat looking bitch has the world at her feet. Somebody help me and tell what's going on...*shrugs*
