(RnB Lyrics) Last Night's Letter Lyrics

Artist: K-Ci and JoJo
Album: Love Always

[Verse 1]
I was sittin' at home
Thinkin' to myself
I started thinkin' bout you
How much I do love you
I really do

I would never trade you
Never forsake you
Cause nothin' could be better
That's why I wrote you this letter
I love you always lady

[Chorus X 2]
Last Night
I wrote a short letter
And it went this way
Dear baby I love you
Just thinkin' of you
Love always

[Verse 2]
Now I know I could've called
But it seemed much better this way
Cause I'm missin' my baby
I'm so blessed your my lady
Now I know I can't wait until tomorrow
When your in my arms again
Holdin' and kissin' you
Doin' the things we love to do
Until then

[Chorus X 2]
Last Night
I wrote a short letter
And it went this way
Dear baby I love you just thinkin' of you
Love always

[Verse 3]
Ooo, Ooo, my baby
Ooo, Ooo, thought about the things you do for me
I thought about the things you wanna do for me
Ooo, Ooo, my baby
Ooo, Ooo

[Chorus X 2]
Last Night
I wrote a short letter
And it went this way
Dear baby I love you just thinkin' of you
Love always

[Verse 4]
Oh baby I love you, I love you, I love you,
There's nothin' that I wouldn't do
Just to prove that I really, really love you
Baby I want you, I want you, I want you
And there's nothing that I'd rather do
Than to love you... I love you always
Every night and every day.

[Chorus X 2]
Last Night
I wrote a short letter
And it went this way
Dear baby I love you just thinkin' of you
Love always

(Let's Talk About It) This post is inspired by what I've been saying all this time, about Gays being so damn sensitive and is doing too much to prove a point. So this morning I read that rapper TI suggests the gay community is threatening American’s constitutional right to freedom of speech. YES I strongly agree with that statement.

TI says ------> "Man, I will say this, the funniest joke I ever heard Tracy say during a stand-up was, 'C'mon man, I think gay people are too sensitive. If you can take a d**k, you can take a joke'. That s**t was funny to me. And it's kind of true.

"They're like, 'If you have an opinion against us, we're gonna shut you down'... That's not American. If you're gay you should have the right to be gay in peace, and if you're against it you should have the right to be against it in peace."

I'm just not with all these Gay people/activists who's overreacting for no damn reason. Have a seat and live your life accordingly.

(Ask Taz)

Dear Taz, (The Street Therapist)

I read through the stickies and there was some stuff about "Getting over your ex" but I feel like my situation is a bit more complicated than that so...I apologize if I'm in the wrong.

Years ago my only friend and my girlfriend cheated together and I fell into a deep deep depression that took me two years to crawl out of and left me with a permanent distrust for everyone I meet.

In those 2 years I discovered online socializing and met new friends. Really great wonderfull friends and build a community around me and I even found someone so special to me that I fell in love. (Please, for the love of god if anyone is thinking something about how it's not real love over the internet kindly go f*** off. You don't even know what you're talking about)

Keep in mind reading this that she is, in essence not just my love interest but my only real friend in life.

We were "together" for a while and everything was perfect. The chances of us ever being together were hazy and difficult. She lived in a whole other country and we were both students, at the time I didn't even have a job but we always held on that hope. We loved eachother and we talked about those things and decided we were happy with things being the way they were. Then suddenly she told me not long ago that she didn't want to do this anymore. She didn't want to try or hope or work towards being together. She said she still loved me but this was just the reality. I don't understand how she can still love me but it doesn't hurt her as much as it hurts me to know we'll never be together.

I always said we'd stay friends but I just can't do it anymore. I just want her to change her mind and tell me she was wrong and that she doesn't want to give up but I know it will never happen. I feel completely dead inside. I don't know who I even am any more and I don't care to find out. These notions of trying to find someone new and moving on to being happy again sicken me. They're a lie, a false happiness sold to myself and I refuse to accept them.

Every day we chat friendly and talk and some days I feel like I really am over it, but those days are so far and few between that when I do feel them I don't even care; I know they wont last and even if they did I still don't care.

I want to be her friend but the thought of every single thing that makes her happy, the thought of her being free and independent and living her life and exploring new things and meeting new people should make ME happy but I know these things are all without me. They terrify me, they make me angry and sad and bitter. Every second of it only reinforces the idea that she's happier without the idea of one day being with me, and that makes me feel like she never loved me at all.

When I think of her meeting someone new one day and falling in love with them I feel a blinding anger and the most horrible sadness i've ever felt in my life and I HATE MYSELF for feeling those things. Like I'm not even her real friend any more I'm some disgusting selfish fuck head who doesn't deserve to be happy.

Part of me wants to tell her we can't be friends. Part of me is terrified of not being her friend.

Part of me doesn't know which of those is the real me.

I'm so scared of being alone. She's my only friend and I want to think she cares about me and we can still be friends but these feelings are just ruining everything. I don't have anyone else and I don't even know if I want anyone else.

I just don't know what to do anymore.

Dear reader,

It appears as though you don't love yourself as much. There is overwhelming evidence that the higher the level of self-esteem, the more likely one will treat others with respect, kindness, and generosity. People who do not experience self-love have little or no capacity to love others.

Consider it this way, if you loved yourself you wouldn't feel as though your whole life has been ruined. Only a small part of it which is easily survivable.

Shit got real when Monique Jeffries became “enraged” when her daughter, Debra Brown, opened her bedroom door talking about the food stamps. The crazy bitch pulled a Penny from Good Times when she used a curling iron to burn her own daughters arm several times as she tried to call police.

This don't make any sense, we all know times are hard...but DAMN b!!! she took it too far when they arguing over food stamps that ended with teeth on the floor. <-----Literally.

(Ask Taz) Dear taz,

This is long, I know. But everything I have to say is completely true.

I am a 25 year old guy and I come from a fairly privileged background. Recently I met a rather cute girl that I started dating. She told me she had a criminal record and that her brother and father were both in prison for manslaughter, but that she was not like that. As I got to know her better I found myself increasingly drawn to her; like I didn't care about her past or her family, I just wanted to take care of her.

It has been a little over 3 weeks now since we first met and I am already having strong feelings for this girl. She visited me for one weekend, essentially staying with me in my apartment. Then again all last week. She took it upon herself to start cooking/cleaning for me while I was at work because she is traditional like that, and we have already begun sleeping together almost every night.

She started telling me that she loved me and enjoyed doing things together that couples do. She wanted me to introduce her to my family and I was nervous as I knew about her difficult life and background and I knew she was very honest and open about it. When the time came, my family continually asked her question after question the entire time, and most of it was probing her for more of the very information that had me worried they might not like her. When it was over, they acted all nice leaving her feeling like it went well, until I got a phone call from them telling me "we need to talk".

At this point, my parents are afraid of her. They came up with all manner of wild scenarios and ideas of what might happen if I continue seeing her. I told them how I felt about her and they insisted that I not bring her home for Thanksgiving as was originally planned. In fact, they don't want her around the rest of the family at all, and I got the strong impression that I was going to be distancing myself from my family if I continued down this road. My father shook his head at me like he was disappointed in me, but I cannot control who I develop feelings for.

That night, I came home with her still in my apartment. I told her what had happened and she started crying. She was practically balling at this point, which seemed a bit over the top as we had known each other a few weeks, but she seems very attached. I told her that if it came down to it, I would choose my family over her and she spent the next half an hour gathering her things, calling her friends, and crying.

I took her back to her place (she lives alone but sometimes stays with friends) and let her know that there was a very real possibility this relationship might end. I don't think she stopped crying the whole way, and I was crying for a good while too. When we got there, she made a remarkably strange move. She pulled out an engagement ring and actually proposed to me! WE HAVE ONLY BEEN TOGETHER FOR 3 WEEKS!!! I told her it wouldn't feel right to take that from her until I have figured out things with the family and can guarantee a future to this, and that I loved her too. Then she went so far as to say that she would even sign a prenuptial agreement if it would help prove her intentions to my family.

She started telling me about how her father molested her when she was 12, about the mistakes she had made in the past, and all manner of very personal things and I held her close. I spoke with my best friend who seems to be siding with my family. "Why put them through this for a girl you have only known for a few weeks? How do you know she isn't trying to screw you over?" She has a couple lawsuits pending against an abusive ex and my parents see that as a sign that she might be "lawsuit crazy".

The thing is, I too feel a connection for this girl. I never slept with anyone before her. If I do end it, I will always look out and wonder "is she alright?" "where is she now?" "does she need help?". She keeps calling/texting me daily to tell me she loves me and needs to see me and might kill herself if I leave her and all manner of things.

Ideally, I could have my family understand that she is not the lawsuit crazy psycho killer they all seem to think she is, but it is beginning to feel increasingly more like "the girl or the family...choose". I spoke with some of her friends who basically told me to tell my family to **** off and follow my heart.

I REALLY need guidance on this as I have found it difficult to focus at work or enjoy life while all this is going on.

Dear Reader,

I know you don't want to believe me but I see red flags all over this situation. You won't because you're infatuated with her. Also I will not chronicle what i see her on the board but if you PM me I will be glad to explain some things you need to watch out for because everything you have chronicled here has me screaming something bad.

You stated ----> and I quote "The thing is, I too feel a connection for this girl. I never slept with anyone before her. If I do end it, I will always look out and wonder "is she alright?" "where is she now?" "does she need help?". She keeps calling/texting me daily to tell me she loves me and needs to see me and might kill herself if I leave her and all manner of things."

I bet your connection is strong. I bet the sex is over the top porn star sex too isn't it? I bet she loves engaging you as often as she can. Your in for a hell of a surprise once the honeymoon period is over my friend.

This relationship shit you got going on has all the hallmarks of a dysfunctional and disordered person. *SHRUGS* There is overwhelming evidence that the higher the level of self-esteem, the more likely one will treat others with respect, kindness, and generosity. People who do not experience self-love have little or no capacity to love others.

Real talk I fell in love with Lisa Raye cause of this dude. Not only did Link captured my attention with his song 'I Really Wanna Sex Your Body,' but his album is still one my favorites and plays heavy in the stereo.

Link sang in gospel choirs as a youngster, and in a group in high school. After working with Darrell Allamby, who recruited him to sing in the RnB group Protege, Link penned the hit "My Body" for the RnB supergroup LSG, Link was offered his own recording contract with Relativity Records.  His 1998 debut album, Sex Down, spawned one Top 40 hit single in the US, "Whatcha Gonna Do?" (#23 Billboard Hot 100, #15 US Billboard RnB). The track peaked at #48 in the UK Singles Chart in November 1998. In addition a second charting hit was issued, "I Don't Wanna See", which reached #43 on the US R&B chart and #25 on the Hot Singles Sales chart.

(RnB Spotlight)  Looks like RnB singer Usher is back in the studio working on his seventh studio album. It's said he's working with some powerful producers, Pharrell Williams and Diplo.

Along with Pharrell, Usher has also been working in the studio with Jim Jonsin and Rico Love on the forthcoming release.

“Right now we’re just experimenting with different sounds,” Rico Love said of the upcoming project. “My job is to make sure it stays classic. I don’t feel like Usher is just a Top 40 artist or just an RnB artist or just a rhythmic artist. I gotta make records that connect to all formats.”

(RnB Spotlight) The Good Girls

Remember The Good Girls from back in the day? The RnB girl group was formed in the late 80s and was made up of Joyce Tolbert, Shireen Crutchfield, and DeMonica Santiago. The group was signed to Motown Records and were groomed to be a new version of The Supremes.

In 1990, the group's scored two successful tours. The group was a part of Motown's MotorTown Tour and later that year, were on New Kids On The Block's <----- (one of my fav groups) No More Games tour.

(RnB Spotlight) No Question

No Question was a vocal quartet that formed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The group was comprised of Damon Core, Dante Massey, Tommy Blackwell and Nicholas Johnson. The group came onto the scene in 1999 with their self-titled debut album on Philadelphia International Records.

The group really didn't make it big with their single 'I Don't Care' which reached #24 on the R&B charts and a remake of 'You Make Me Feel Brand New.' The album sales weren't as high as expected and the group switched labels to become Ruff/Nation Records' first R&B group.

(RnB Spotlight) The NOVA STAR… is a star that suddenly increases in brightness to several times its normal magnitude, and then returns to its original appearance within a few years. Robbie Nova is that type of star, with only one exception, he only gets brighter!

Robbie Nova was born in Queens, NY. Raised in a church going family, Nova sang in the choir for the majority of his life. He learned to play the drums by ear and not long after he became the drummer boy in church. During his high school years, Nova’s true singing personality began to shine. It was then that he realized that he had real talent and began to take it seriously. Through the years, he developed his skills in music; including songwriting, playing the piano and producing. His musical gift embodies an artist with a soulful song craft.

Robbie Nova has demonstrated his performing abilities in local events in the five boroughs of New York. Rocking crowds in venues like Club Amazura, Club Prime, the Legendary Village Underground, and Spotlight Live in Times Square; just to name a few. He has performed at major events like the 2008 Giants Super Bowl party in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and The Atomic Dog Show at the Shrine theatre in Los Angeles, CA. In addition, he has opened up for such acts like Akon, Ne-Yo, Soulja Boy and Cheri Dennis, and has performed along side of Bobby Valentino and Pleasure P at Lehman's College, in Bronx, NY.

Because of Robbie Nova's effortless talent in music and positive drive towards success, he grew to become an active member of the LIFE Camp, Inc. (LIFE: Love Ignites Freedom through Education) With this organization he travels to different communities and schools encouraging the ‘Love Your Life/Bury the Beef Mission,’ which is to motivate today’s youth to dream big, stay in school, and never to fall victim to the streets with drugs, gangs and violence. Nova expresses this mission through talks and music performances.

His active role with the "I Love My LIFE Camp" has recently been seen on the television show "Running with Russell Simmons" on the Oxygen Network.

Liberation High School in Brooklyn, NY noticed Robbie Nova's talented songwriting ability and personally requested his assistance in creating the school’s theme song. Liberation High School’s song is now entitled "Liberated," co-written and produced by Robbie Nova.

Robbie Nova continues to rapidly evolve in the music entertainment industry. His artistic journey includes completing the lead role in a movie entitled "The Lighter," in summer 2010; landing a role in the Broadway stage play "Love Lies in Lust," in February 2011; writing and producing a sultry R&B track entitled "Taming a Crush" currently played on New York’s radio station Power 105 FM, and landing a major music feature on BET’s 106 & Park ‘Artist Spotlight’ in March 2011.

Robbie Nova has released songs on numerous mix-tapes and has performed in countless venues. Through his persistence and determination to shine bright into the future of music, Robbie Nova signed a recording contract with Akon’s label, Konvict Muzik, which features artists such as Akon and T-Pain. Robbie Nova is to become a major asset to the music industry as the "Future of R&B" and is by far ready to take the world by storm.

You can expect the best me you’ve ever heard. I don’t have any release dates in mind right now but I’m just making music and enjoying myself in the studio and having fun. When I get to a place where I feel comfortable saying a date or all of that, people will definitely know. I have a few dream collaborations on that album that I want, but they say if you blow out your candle and make a wish you can’t tell people what you ask for or it won’t come true.”
